SDGs related projects
The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet and improve the lives and prospects of everyone, everywhere. The 17 Goals are interconnected, apply to all countries, and need to be carried out by all stakeholders – governments, the private sector, civil society, the United Nations system and others – in a collaborative partnership.
NNFTRI as one of the most prestigious scientific and research institutes at national and regional level, has different projects aims to achieve SDGs goals.
- Comparing the cost and affordability of nutritious and sustainable baskets by different socioeconomic groups and sub-national areas in Iran: 2016-2019
- Fifteen-year trends in the price differential between healthy and less healthy foods and healthy, less healthy, and sustainable diet and forecasting the price values of healthy and unhealthy foods up to 2031 in Iran

Projects with National impact
The projects of NNFTRI aim to improve the nutritional status and health of the community. However, the projects that known as projects with health impact at national level are the ones that its results have been used by policy makers (e.g. Ministry of health) for policy development and program planning and implementation at the national level to improve sustainable food and nutrition security. These projects ultimately improve the nutrition and health status of the people.
